She was predeceased by: her parents, Emory Lee and Vivian Phelps Wood; her children, Sara Wilkenson Hoadley and E. Lee Brothers of Arlington, VA; and her sister Doris Lester.
She is survived by: her daughter Helen "Mackie" Doland of Stephens City; her stepson David Smith; and her sister Patsy L Lovell of Gainesville, VA. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
