We announce the death of Phyllis L. Wilson of Stephens City, Virginia, who passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 88. Phyllis will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Phyllis’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, David H. Long and Opal M. Marple Long; her husband Fred A. Wilson; and her siblings, S. Carroll Long and Janet M. Parrill.
She is survived by: her sister Maxine Rogers (Jerry) of Winchester, VA.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Giffin Funeral Home & Crematory (2807 Northwestern Turnpike, Capon Bridge, WV 26711). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
