He is survived by: his daughter Rhonda "Gail" Barton (John Barton) of Stephens City; his sisters, Hilda Marie Gibson of Lake Mary, FL and Shirley "Maxine" Morgan of Winchester; his son-in-law Max Largent of Winchester; and his grandchildren, Tanis Largent Fellman, Jason Largent, Kara Keiter, Dustin Largent, Lauren Barton and Kevin Barton.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Amherst Chapel (1600 Amherst St, Winchester, VA 22601). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Mount Hebron Cemetery (305 E Boscawen St, Winchester, VA 22601).
