She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Mary Ellen Anslinger (Miller) and Edward Anslinger; her husband Roderick P. Nelson of Nelson's Hardware; her great grandchild Tim Nelson (Cathy Nelson (Emily); her granddaughter Tamara Brennan (Nelson); her mother-in-law Gladys Nelson; Holly Hawkins, Jill Heisy and Nancy Hawkins (Nelson).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and on Friday, July 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, July 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church (46639 Algonkian Pkwy, Sterling, VA 20165). A burial was held on Friday, July 17th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Alto Reste Park (109 Alto Reste Pk, Altoona, PA 16601).
