It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cassandra Ann Douglas of Stony Creek, Virginia, who passed away on December 17, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her former life partner Robert Grothman; her parents, Woodrow A. Olson and Irene V. Olson; and her sister Loren H. Olson. She is survived by : her husband Daniel C. Douglas Sr.; her children, Paul Grothman (Sherry) and Julie Grothman; her stepchildren, Bryan Davis, Chris Douglas, Jodi Douglas and Kelly Emmons; her godson Joey Tomasian; her grandchildren, Ashley McDowell, Andrew Grothman and Alan Chance; her great grandchildren, Khari Jones, Milana Jones, Akyra McDowell and Aniya McDowell; and her siblings, Christine Wentzel, Corlis L. Bresette, Barry O. Olson, Ruth A. Bell and Stuart W. Olson.
