He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil R. Heishman and Daisy F. Heishman; his sister Betty J. Heishman; and his wife Betty L. Funkhouser of Paul's Lutheran Church. He is survived by: his siblings, Janet A. Cirrani of Middletown, VA., Virgil "Sonny" Heishman, Marvin E. Heishman, James Heishman and Terry Heishman; his grandchildren, Matthew Hogan (Emily) of Chesterfield, VA, Melissa Beavers (John) of Smithfield, VA and Charlotte Lehigh of Wardensville, WV; and his great grandchild William Hogan of Chesterfield, VA..
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Woodbine Farm Market Pavilion (5199 John Marshall Hwy, Strasburg, VA 22657).
