It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alvis Lester Shelton of Stuart, Virginia, who passed away on January 26, 2026, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Aubrey Shelton and Martha Clark Shelton; his wife Versie Cannaday Shelton; his son Kirk Shelton; and his siblings, Marie Stone, Gladys Fansler, Shirley Martin, Mildred Sigmon, Curtis Shelton and Melvin Shelton.
He is survived by: his son Danny Shelton (Darlene); his grandchildren, Jenna Comer, Ben Shelton, Patrick Shelton, Stephanie Shelton and Danny Shelton II; and his daughter-in-law Tina Shelton. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
