She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Harrison Mitchell and Ida Mae Beasley Mitchell; her husband Paul Jefferson Hopkins; her children, Linda Gale Hopkins and Paul David Hopkins; and her siblings, Ruby Marie Mitchell, James Randolph Mitchell, Guilford Norman Mitchell and Billy Graham Mitchell, Sr. (Hopkins).
She is survived by: her pet Cleo; her granddaughters, Sondra Miller (Brian) and Andrea Hopkins; her great grandchildren, Draden Goins, Alex Miller, Blake Miller and A. Scott Miller; and her daughter-in-law Vada Hopkins.
Her church family was such a blessing to her, Barbara requested in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Fairview Pentecostal Holiness Church, 46264 Salem Highway, Stuart, VA 24171.
