He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer R. Hazelwood and Nancy Thornton Hazelwood; his wife Patty Harris Hazelwood; and his sister Donna Kay Hazelwood. He is survived by: his children, Mike Hazelwood (Leigh Ann) of Stuart and Misty Hazelwood of Stuart; and his grandchildren, Stuart Callahan of Stuart, Lilly Hazelwood of Stuart, Jackson Callahan of Stuart, Jayden Callahan of Stuart and Lauren Hazelwood of Stuart.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moody Funeral Services (202 W Blue Ridge St, Stuart, VA 24171). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 at the High Point Baptist Church Cemetery (2381 Big A School Rd, Stuart, VA 24171).
