He was predeceased by: his wife Leona Haymore Thompson; his sons, Mitchell, Timothy and Jerry Thompson; his parents, Amos Maxwell Thompson and Lillie Mae Bowman Thompson; and his siblings, Kathleen Fain, Lucille White and David Maxwell Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Dale Thompson (Tammy) and Robin Thompson Peavy (Ken); his grandchildren, Nicholas Peavy (Caitlin), Sydney Anne Peavy and Mariella Thompson; and his siblings, Grant Thompson (Joann) of Kentucky, Floyd Thompson (Iva) of Pennsylvania and Evie Thompson Shambley of Virginia.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Indian Grove Family Cemetery.
