He was predeceased by: his parent Claude Edward Hylton; his sister Doris Drake; and his nephew Matthew Hylton. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Woods Hylton; his children, Lisa Hylton and Dale "Stretch" Hylton of Stuart; his granddaughters, Kristina Blake Akkerman (Daren) of Leesburg and Kimberly Coalson of Stuart; his great grandchildren, Payton Purdy and Maddie Dellenback; his stepgreat-granddaughters, Harper Akkerman and Kendall Carroll; and his siblings, Ralph Hylton of Floyd and Christine Morrison (Randolph) of Christiansburg, Virginia.
