He was predeceased by: his mother Pencie Dunkley Pruitt; his wife Vergie Hubbard Pruitt; and his siblings, Lois P. Owens, James Pruitt, Walter Pruitt, Dot P. Gammons, Paul Pruitt, George Pruitt, Anne P. Adkins, Maggie P. Whitlow and Ruby P. Spence.
He is survived by: his father William "Will" Pruitt; his children, Randy Pruitt of Stuart and Debbie Pruitt of Stuart; his grandchild Erin Pruitt Alexander (Jason); his great grandchildren, Trent, Evan and Kameryn Alexander; his sister Kenzie Penland of Madison; and his pet Ginger. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Moody Funeral Services (202 W Blue Ridge St, Stuart, VA 24171). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at the Patrick Memorial Gardens (20937 Jeb Stuart Hwy, Stuart, VA 24171).
