He is survived by: his wife Myrna Cox Austin; his sons, James Austin, Jr. (Jimmy) and Michael Austin (Melanie); his stepson Joey Spangler (Lisa); his grandchildren, Chris Austin, Lori Austin, Logan Howell, Britton Howell, Thad Curry, Jordan Spangler, Kirsten Spangler, Chelsea Spangler, Misty Hamm (Jeff) and Pandy Spangler; and his brother Leonard Austin. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
