Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Joseph Winfred Dawson of Stuart, Virginia, who passed away at the age of 98, on September 25, 2023. He was predeceased by : his parents, John William Dawson and Lillie Vaughn Dawson; his former life partner Ruth Riddle Dawson; his wife Mary Lou Lawless Dawson; his son Phil Dawson; and his siblings, Earl Dawson, Ruth Morrison, Catherine Pilson, Margaret Bennett, Madeline Elgin and Doris Atkinson.

He is survived by : his daughter-in-law Arline Dawson; his grandsons, Kent Dawson and Ward Dawson; and his stepchildren, Nancy Slate, Dianna Adams, Ronnie Lawless, Donnie Lawless and Tim Lawless. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
