She was predeceased by: her former husband King Alfred Morrison; her husband Russell Mize; her stepchildren, Linwood Mize and Louise M. Lovely; her siblings, Nannie S. Boyd, John Albert Scott, Jr., Curtis Scott, Walter Scott and Vernon Scott; her sister-in-law Frances Scott; and her son-in-law Wayne "Peanut" Plaster.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sylvia M. Plaster and Donna M. Thomas (Sparks, Jr.); her grandsons, Dwayne Adams (Brandy), Darren Thomas (Rachel) and Dustin Thomas (Jessica); her great grandchildren, Michael Adams (Casey), Kimber Thomas, Khloe Thomas and Kaci Thomas; her great great grandchildren, Saige Adams, Devin Adams, Landin Adams and Haydin Adams; her sisters, Hazel Hopkins (Rick) and Pam Scott; her sister-in-law Geraldine Scott; her niece Rita McCullom; and her close friend Hazel Massey.
