She was predeceased by: her parents, William Dyer and Hazel Lawson Dyer; her husband Alvin Douglas Palmer, Sr.; her sons, Andy Palmer and Doug Palmer; and her grandson Dustin Sheppard.

She is survived by: her children, Joyce A. Palmer (Scott), Danny Palmer and Timmy Palmer. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Norris Funeral Services – Martinsville. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Roselawn Burial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donation be made to the Martinsville-Henry County SPCA in Martha's honor.
