It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Violet Williams Hubbard of Stuart, Virginia, who passed away on December 3, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Violet leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Violet may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Thompson Hubbard; and her sister Rachel "Gail" Flippin. She is survived by: her daughters, Cindy Hylton (Randy) of Stuart and Katina Hylton (Brad) of Stuart; her grandsons, Brent Hylton (Michaela) of Woolwine and Chase Hylton of Stuart; her great grandchildren, Dawson and Riley; her siblings, Vera W. Wood of South Boston, Joan Smith of Stuart, Essie Holt (Guy) of Stuart and Riley Williams (Geraldine) of Bassett; and her brother-in-law Larry Flippin of Stuart. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Jack's Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery (1291 Jacks Creek Rd, Stuart, VA 24171).
