He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Gunter and Ruth Adams Gunter; and his brother Bruce Gunter (Thelma). He is survived by: his wife Marie Plaster Gunter; his children, Daren Gunter (Beth) and Lori Hutchins (Jay); and his brother Marvin Gunter (June). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Moody Funeral Services (202 W Blue Ridge St, Stuart, VA 24171). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
