She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Shields and Retha Shields (Havens); and her grandson Kaleb Ryan Martin. She is survived by: her husband Kenny Martin of Stuarts Draft; her children, Jennifer Paige Parr (Dave) of Annapolis, MD, Shane Martin (Kim) of Staunton and Ryan Martin of Staunton; and her siblings, Frank Shields (Nida) of Church Road, VA, Janet Gregory of Blackstone, VA, Jean Harris of Glen Allen, VA and Debbie Crowe of Red Lion, PA. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home (619 Lifecore Dr, Fishersville, VA 22939). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital are appreciated, honoring Kay's spirit of generosity and love.
