He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Coyner and Margaret Coyner; his foster parents, Elmer Chandler and Effie Chandler; and his sister Betty Matchett.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Foley Coyner; his children, Richard Coyner (Gail) and Roxanne Harris (Scott); his grandchildren, Ashleigh Salatin (Daniel), Travis Coyner, Paige Heizer (Andrew) and Renee' Nelson (Chris); his great grandchildren, Addisyn Simmons, Harrison Heizer, Lydia Nelson, Lyla Heizer, Travis Salatin, Andrew Salatin and Lauryn Salatin; his sister Nancy Beyeler; his sister-in-law Debbie Prater (Ralph); and his friend Michael Baumann.
