He was predeceased by: his parents, James Darbin Weatherford and Barbara Marie Weatherford (Weber); and his sister Sharon L. Whiteman. He is survived by: his spouse Gail Denise Weatherford (Newman) of Stuarts Draft; his stepchildren, George "Mitch" Carper of Germany, Anneka L. Campbell of Stuarts Draft and Tina "Christy" Bevers of Swansboro, N. C.; his brother Danny E. Weatherford (Melinda) of East Bend, N. C.; and his grandchildren, James Bevers, Jared Bevers, Logan Carper and Brody Carper.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory (230 Frontier Dr, Staunton, VA 24401). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Faith Baptist Church (620 Essex Dr, Staunton, VA 24401).
