With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alfred Lee Gibbs of Suffolk, Virginia, who passed away on December 4, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Latham Gibbs and Mary Armstrong Gibbs. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Dawson Gibbs; his daughters, Alfreda Fleming and Mary Leigh Howell (Frank); his grandchildren, Crystal (John), Shannon (Mark), Lauren (Paul) and Ashley; his great grandchildren, Christopher, Carson, Aiden and Raelyn; and his siblings, Dianthia Sawyer and Bradley Gibbs (Judy). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306, in support of wounded veterans.
