She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Wells and Lena Wells; her husbands, James L. Strickland, Edgar Piland Savage and Col. Glenn E. McBride; her daughter Gail Strickland; and her brother Dan Wells.

She is survived by: her son Danny R. Strickland (Cindy); her grandchildren, Shannon Sanderlin, Robert Bishop, Christie Mazzone and Stephanie Carpenter (Chris); and her sister Lorene Walden (LB). She is also survived by seven great grandchildren and eight great, great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the City of Suffolk Department of Fire & Rescue.
