With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Annie King (Suffolk, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 6, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Jenkins, Sr. (Lula Clayton Jenkins Rodgers) and Ann Lee; her siblings, Luther Jenkins, Jr., Jerome Jenkins, Dr. Elton Ray "Dink" Jenkins and Pauline Staton; and her sons, Alfred Jenkins and Jerone Scott.
She is survived by: her friends, Evelyn Hunt Copeland, Rosa Figgs, Etta Mae Edmonds, Doris Lynch, Beatrice "Bea" Smith, Boney and Lucille; her children, Joice Scott Whitehorn, Jerome Scott and Dr. Tony R. King; Ronda King Smith. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and neighbors.
