We are sad to announce that, on February 16, 2025, at the age of 89, Benjamin Franklin Nelson Jr. (Suffolk, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin Nelson, Sr. and Harriett Elizabeth Cartwright Nelson; and his wife Iris Spruill Nelson. He is survived by: his children, Benjamin Franklin Nelson, III (Jennifer), Robin Elizabeth Conroy (late James J.) and Thomas Charles Nelson; his sister Minnie O'Neal; his grandchildren, Shannon, Sean, Sarah, Emily and Thomas Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Aurora, John and Iris.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society or the family would appreciate trees planted in Benjamin's memory.
