She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Nathaniel Mathias and Eunice Asbell Mathias; her husband Ocie Linwood Moore, Jr.; and her siblings, Ophelia Brown, George Shephard Mathias and James Wilson Mathias, Sr..

She is survived by: her children, Cathy Greene (Gregory) and John Craig Moore (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Megan Greene Nester (Brandon), Matthew Greene (Kristin), Martin Nathaniel Moore, Mary Elizabeth Moore, Madison Sage and Corbin Sage; her great grandchild Ainsley Kate Nester; her sisters, Catherine M. Ambrose of Suffolk, VA, Carolyn M. Byrum (Linwood) of Ahoskie, NC and Peggy M. Carr (Payne) of Corapeake, NC; her brother-in-law Ermon Brown of Virginia Beach, VA; and her cousin Joyce Riddick. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
