She was predeceased by: her father William Baker; her husband James L. Skinner, Sr.; her sons, Austin Skinner and James Skinner, Jr.; her sisters, Alice Boone and Gladys Parker; and her grandson Kashean Owens.
She is survived by: her children, Elton Skinner (Shirley) of Suffolk, VA, Tony Skinner (Erion) of Albuquerque, NM, Juanita Skinner, Pamela Skinner of Suffolk, VA and Marvella Skinner of Ferris, TX; her grandchildren, Cassandra Williams and Shameca Golden (Demetrius); her sister Alma Wright of Suffolk, VA; and her goddaughters, Bridgette Smith, Dora Brown and Lula Gibbons. She is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren; sixty-six great grandchildren; and sixteen great- great -grandchildren.
