It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clifford H. Diggs Sr. of Suffolk, Virginia, who passed away on April 18, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hezekiah Diggs and Sarah Diggs; his former wife Geraldine Diggs; his son Clifford, Jr.; his grandson Terence Alston; and his siblings, Doris, Bessie, Rosa, Vivian, George, Edward and Horace.
He is survived by: his uncle Sonny (Pop); his wife Virginia Mazell of Saratoga; his children, Later, Sandra Watkins (Shepherd Watkins) and Gwendolyn Anderson; and his grandchildren, Telisa Alston, Tyrell Anderson and Turhan Anderson (Kia). He is also survived by grandchildren; great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; stepchildren; special friends, and a host of other relatives and friends.
