She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph Holland Howlett and Ruth Upton Howlett; her husband Harlen Jones; and her siblings, Harvey Howlett, Dot Ryder, Jack Howlett, Peggy Brown and Doug Howlett.

She is survived by : her children, Clarence Lawrence Jr., Carolyn McClure (Rick), Sherry Carlson (Marty) and Lisa Netter (Henry); her sisters, Barbara Newell (John) and Joyce Wilson (David); her grandchildren, Angela Fischer (Gary), Mindy Ellis (Josh), Marty Carlson (Kristen), Henry Carlson, Chloe Carlson (Devin), Henry Netter IV and Greyson Netter; and also Theresa Howlett.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, June 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Albert G. Horton Memorial Veteran's Cemetery (5310 Milners Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434).
