He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Simons and Elizabeth Simons. He is survived by : his wife Kay Simons; his children, Jill Olrich of Hampstead, NC, William and Simons, Jr. (Tammy) of Suffolk, VA; his granddaughters, Katie Olrich, Meghan Olrich and Madeline Dulaney (Joshua); and his sister Shirley Weaver (Jimmy).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Neck Christian Church or to a charity of choice.
