He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Herbert Johnston and Ruth Norton Johnston; his wife Lynne Graham Johnston; his sons, David Michael Johnston and John Paul Johnston; his sister April McKee (Bjorn Spanier); and his brother-in-law Danny Graham (Leigh Ann). He was also cherished by 6 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the R. W. Baker & Company Funeral Home and Crematory (509 W Washington St, Suffolk, VA 23434). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oakland Christian Church (5641 Godwin Blvd, Suffolk, VA 23434). A reception will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery (1549 Holland Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434).
