He is survived by: his godparent Coral Wilson; his sons, James R. Wilson, Willie J. Wilson, Jr. and Santonyo Wilson; his aunt Marie Edwards (Margaret Edwards); Celestine Wilkins. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
