She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Ray and Opal Minnie Simpkins; her husband Bret Keith Smith; her son Christopher Babb (Bret); and her siblings, Sue Brinkley, Judy Saunders, Karen Byrum, Alice Hyatt and Elliott Simpkins.
She is survived by: her daughter April Adkison (David); her grandchildren, Alyssa (Noah), Hallie (Jonathan), Kevin (Kayleigh), Brandon, David Jr., Jenna, Ayden and Dallas; her great grandchild Blair; and her siblings, Paula Frank (David) and Mike Simpkins (Susan). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
