She was predeceased by: her parents, Reginald Eugene Whitehurst and Valeria Lee Whitehurst (Rhodes); her siblings, Patricia Whitehurst Markham and Reginald Eugene Whitehurst Jr.; and her daughter Ann Marie Dozier.

She is survived by: her husband Franklin Riley Dozier Jr. of Suffolk, Virginia; her son Franklin Riley Dozier III (Rhonda); and her granddaughters, Samantha Ann Michaud (Jason) of Gloucester and Miranda Marie Daniels (Andrew) of Suffolk, Virginia. She is also survived by nieces and nephew.
