She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary P. Chalk Chalk and Irvin T. Chalk; and her siblings, Irvin T. Chalk Jr. and Barbara Jean Chalk Bradley. She is survived by: her children, Lavin L. Chalk, Deidra L. Chalk, Aaren D. Chalk and Eltron D. Chalk; her goddaughter Letesia Knight; and her siblings, James C. Chalk (Valencia), Jacqueline D. Chalk Little, Wanda E. Chalk Chandler, Johnnie D. Chalk (Elaine), Fondella E. Chalk and Gleena N. Chalk Harper. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the T. E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home (405 Johnson Ave, Suffolk, VA 23434). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Greater First Baptist Church (600 Factory St, Suffolk, VA 23434). A burial was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at the Carver Memorial Cemetery (2320 E Washington St, Suffolk, VA 23434).
