With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Rogers Chambliss (Suffolk, Virginia), who passed away on November 5, 2025 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Rogers and Jennie Rogers; her husband Henry Lyons Chambliss; and her siblings, John T. Rogers, F. Kenneth Rogers, Phillip Rogers, Eleanor R. Laun and Marion R. VanHise.
She is survived by: her daughter Judy Diane Chambliss Boswell; her granddaughter Jennifer Boswell Rockey; her great grandchildren, William Henry Rockey and Abigail Lee Rockey; her siblings-in-law, Ann Rogers of Florida and David Dunn; her brother Robert; and her sisters-in-law, Janet Chambliss and Betty Chambliss of Kentucky. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She resided in the Commons of Centerbrooke until 2019, when she moved into her daughter's home due to COVID 19.
Memorial donations may be made to the Suffolk Humane Society, 412 Kings Fork Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434 as Doris loved our dogs, Leo and Otis.
