He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Van Newman and Annie Belle Ginn Newman; and his siblings, Fred Jr., Miller Harold, William, Robert, Eugene, Charles, Lloyd Newman, Helen Land, Marjorie Beacham, Christine LeDoyen, Linda McCloud and Judy Eaves-Button.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Gray "Beth" Newman; his children, Kimberly Abrams, Tanya Stephenson, Connie Webb (Danny), Nicole Tsikuris (Richard Jr.), Anna Newman, David Newman, Stephen Newman (Amy) and Joe Stephenson; and his siblings, Marcia Martin (Dudley), Betty Carlucci (Pete) and James Newman (Marty). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
