He was predeceased by: his father Vance Hamilton Humphrey; and his siblings, Joyce Byrd and William Humphrey. He is survived by: his wife Lucille D. Humphrey; his daughter Jennifer H.; his son-in-law Roger D. Lowe, Jr.; his son Eddie V. Humphrey Jr.; his sisters, Alice H., Lee Payne and Carolyn Sue Humphrey; and his brother-in-law Harold Byrd. He is also survived by five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
