She was predeceased by: her husband Dennis Butler; her siblings, Dolly Johnson, Ida Jordan, Marie Williams and Bishop John R. Savage; her granddaughters, Tameka Carter and Tiffany Williams; and her parents, John Wesley Savage, Sr. and Ethel Batts Savage.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Butler, Dennis "Ray" Butler, Nathaniel Butler (Jeneen), Joyce Urqhart (Abraham), Gloria Lynch (Hubert), Marilyn Butler Harrell (Larry) and Brenda Williams (Herb); her grandchildren, Tyrone Butler, Travis Butler, Lakesha Perkinson, Monya Sparrow, Derrick Carter, David "Jerrell" Goodman, Kenneth Carter, Jr. and Patrick Gainous; her siblings, Wesley Savage, Jr. (Barbara) of Cherry Hill, NJ and Marion Knight of Drum Hill, NC; her nieces, Narsorine Ralph (James) and Laverne Wilson; and her friend Bishop Mavis Goodman. She is also survived by 16 great granchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and long-time friends.
While she was able, she attended the East Suffolk Community Center on a regular basis until COVID-19 halted many activities.
