Ellen Hayes Poe Obituary

We are sad to announce that on April 10, 2024, at the age of 68, Ellen Hayes Poe (Suffolk, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Cecil Y. Hayes and Pauline K. Lanier; her husband John G. Poe; and her siblings, Kathryn A. Roddenberry, Shelby Spain, Robert Lanier and Gary Lanier.

She is survived by : her children, Stephanie Huffman (Michael), John W. Poe (Nguyet), Sharon Spain (Charles) and Barbara Silva (Tony); and her sisters, Carolyn Clowers (Wayne), Betty Harold (David), Vicky Lanier and Judy Barbarian. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the R. W. Baker & Company Funeral Home and Crematory (509 W Washington St, Suffolk, VA 23434). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
