She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucy Lawhorne and Elmo Massie; and her daughter Debra. She is survived by: her husband Richard "Diggin Dick" Mitchell; her son Roger D. Mitchell Sr. (Mamie); and her great grandchild Michelle Mitchell. She is also survived by six grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a great great grandson; a sister and two brothers.
