We are sad to announce that, on August 30, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Fletcher Miriam Thacker Greenwood of Suffolk, Virginia, born in Smithfield, Virginia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Miriam Amelia Batten Thacker and Herbert Marsben Thacker; her husband Oliver Chaffin Greenwood, Sr.; and her siblings, Rachel T. Joyner, Florine T. Joyner, James W. Thacker, Sr., H. Lee Thacker, Ralph W. Thacker and E. Crouch Thacker.

She is survived by: her son Oliver Chaffin Greenwood, Jr. (Diane); her granddaughter Stephanie Murdock (Jack); and her sisters, Helen T. Johnson and Bettye T. Drake. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to either the Lake Prince Woods Benevolent or Worship Funds, 100 Anna Goode Way, Suffolk, VA 23434.
