He is survived by: his wife Pearl Elliott Austin; his daughters, Ann L. Buckley (Patrick) and Cynthia M. A. Raiford (Philip); his granddaughter Jessica Buckley; his stepgrandchildren, Ashley Darden Poort (Trevor) and Kenneth Darden; his brothers-in-law, Swain Davis and Junius; Kensi Poort.
