It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garnett Thomas Benton of Suffolk, Virginia, born in Portsmouth, Virginia, who passed away on March 8, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Benton and Garnett Benton. He is survived by: his wife Rendy "Sheryl" Benton; his sons, Carlton Thomas Benton, Sr. (Jennifer) and Ryan Collin Benton; his siblings, Debbie Eaton (Albert) and Joey Benton (Ann); and his grandchildren, Carlton Thomas Benton, Jr., Conrad Preston Benton, Chapman Garnett Benton and Campbell Sophia Benton.
