He was predeceased by: his parents, George L. Pelton and Jean R. Pelton; his sister Barbara Buchtel; and his son Geoffrey R. Pelton. He is survived by: his wife Leslie S. Pelton; his daughter Jennifer Kent (Nik); his grandchildren, Jackson of Ashburn, VA. and Charli Kent of Ashburn, VA.; his niece Lisa Gehring (Baton Rouge); and his cousin John Pelton.
