She was loved and cherished by many people including: her granddaughter Alayah Southall; her parents, Henry Smith and Lena W. Smith; her brothers, Henry Smith Jr., Roy C. Williams, Thomas Smith and Kenneth E. Smith; her son John T. Southall (Raven) of Suffolk, Virginia; her siblings, Vernell S. Ward (James) of Arlington, Virginia and Lenart Williams (Charlene) of Suffolk, Virginia; her nieces and nephews, Cheryl D. Saunders, LaShelle J. Arnold, Dr. Shereeta Ashenfelter, Deja M. Saunders, Jayla G. Ward, James E. Ward Jr., Thomas Smith Jr., Kenneth S. Smith and Jordan O. Saunders; her friend John T. Southall; and her sisters-in-law, Judith A. Smith and Charlene Williams. She was also cherished by son, nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the T. E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home (405 Johnson Ave, Suffolk, VA 23434). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery (5310 Milners Rd, Suffolk, VA 23434).
