It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Dildy Robertson (Suffolk, Virginia), who passed away on November 25, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Percy Dildy and Nora Dildy of Nansemond County; her husband James Augusta Robertson; her brothers, Harvey Langston (Alma Hunter), Leon Dildy, James Dildy, Phillip Dildy and Redell Dildy (Jefferson Dildy); and her granddaughter Raven Robertson.
She is survived by: her children, Elvis L. Dildy, Sr., Margaret Hicks (Derwin), James T. Dildy, Sr. (April), Crystal R. Robertson, Glenn E. Robertson (Rosetta), Tracey Robertson-Smith (John), Jacqueline Robertson of Suffolk, VA and Roslyn P. Robertson-Rawlings (Christopher) of Norfolk, VA; her siblings, Janice Ralph (Vernon Sr.), Minnie Dildy, Velma Dildy, Eugene and Wesley Dildy; her aunt Evelyn Collins (William); and her siblings-in-law, Louella Dildy, Louise Dildy, Mary Dildy, Virginia Dildy, Christine Edmond and Cleveland Robertson of Suffolk, VA. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. (900 E Washington St, Suffolk, VA 23434). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Palm Tree Baptist Church (8165 Whaleyville Blvd, Suffolk, VA 23438). A burial was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at the Langston-Dildy Cemetery (8165 Whaleyville Blvd, Suffolk, VA 23438).
