He was predeceased by: his parents, Elder Hallett Harrell and Luella Savage Harrell; his siblings, Dennis Harrell (Mable) and MaryAnne Dailey (Thurman); and his sister-in-law Christine Harrell.

He is survived by: his children, Pamela Michelle Hawk-Williams of Suffolk, VA and Jamie Lamont Hawk of Suffolk, VA; his grandchildren, Keshonta T. Banks of Danol, Williams, Jr., Ambria D. Williams and Niya S. Hawk; and his siblings, Thurman Harrell (Rudean), Dallas Harrell, Larry Harrell (Marilyn) of Suffolk, VA, Walter Harrell of Newport News, VA., Pearlie Mae Smith (Curtis) of Suffolk, VA, Sharry Harrell of Suffolk, VA, Michelle Armstrong (Tommy) of Suffolk, VA, Thelma Strong and Ada Willis of Newport News, VA.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
