Janine Upton Garrett Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janine Upton Garrett of Suffolk, Virginia, who passed away on July 17, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Upton and Marilyn Upton; her in-laws, Braxton and Vivian Garrett; and her siblings-in-law, Debra Williams, Earl Williams and Leonard Johnston.
She is survived by: her husband Denis; her sons, Cole (Karyn), Justin (Courtney) and Kyle; her grandchildren, Connor, Jacin and Vivian; and her siblings, Darlene Fields (Larry), Carolyn Upton, Duane Upton and Jimmy Upton (Ann). She is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews, and 29 great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Foster Funeral Home (1926 High St, Portsmouth, VA 23704). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Resurrection (3501 Cedar Ln, Portsmouth, VA 23703).
