He is survived by: his wife Scherry Goodwin Johnson; his daughters, Natalie Johnson Smith (Doug Smith) and Susan Ashley Johnson; his grandsons, Douglas Connor Smith, Jeffrey Edward Smith and Charles Brewer Smith; his sister Deborah Johnson Race (Mark Race); and his mother-in-law Ruth Goodwin.
